For centuries, Chinese medicine practitioners have examined the tongue as part of a broader health assessment. Its color, shape, coating, moisture, and other characteristics may provide useful clues about patterns of balance and imbalance.

During this 3-hour interactive workshop, you will learn the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine tongue observation and discover what practitioners look for when evaluating the tongue.

In this workshop, you will learn:

• The basic principles of TCM tongue diagnosis
• How tongue color, shape, coating, moisture, and texture are traditionally interpreted
• The different regions of the tongue and their traditional TCM associations
• Common tongue patterns and what they may suggest within a Chinese medicine framework
• Factors such as food, hydration, medications, illness, and lifestyle that can temporarily change tongue appearance
• How to observe your own tongue more accurately
• When changes in the tongue warrant evaluation by a healthcare professional
