New Team Members and Reflections on the 2026 Year of the Horse

At Liu’s Oriental Medical Center, growth is never just about expansion. It is about alignment. It is about timing. It is about listening to the rhythm of the community and responding with care.

As we move through the 2026 Year of the Horse, we are stepping forward with momentum, clarity, and renewed commitment. We are excited to share several meaningful updates with you.

Welcoming a New Massage Therapist

Massage therapy has long been an integral part of traditional East Asian medicine. From therapeutic bodywork to Tuina and integrative soft tissue techniques, touch is medicine.

We are thrilled to welcome a new licensed massage therapist to our team. Please welcome Michelle S. She will be seeing patients on Thursdays from 12-6 pm starting March 5, 2026 and offers western style massage, reflexology, and acupressure services.

This addition allows us to:

  • Expand appointment availability

  • Reduce wait times for massage services

  • Offer more comprehensive treatment plans alongside acupuncture and herbal medicine

  • Provide collaborative care within the clinic

Massage therapy supports circulation, nervous system regulation, recovery from injury, and stress resilience. When paired with acupuncture, the results are often amplified. Patients frequently report improved sleep, reduced pain, and a deeper sense of balance.

Our goal is not simply to offer more appointments. It is to offer more continuity of care.

Introducing a New Acupuncture Assistant

Behind every smooth clinical experience is a strong support team.

We are also welcoming a new acupuncture assistant to Liu’s Oriental Medical Center. This role strengthens our clinical flow and enhances the patient experience from the moment you walk through our doors.

An acupuncture assistant helps with:

  • Room preparation and turnover

  • Patient intake support

  • Herbal inventory and organization

  • Treatment support under practitioner supervision

This addition allows our providers to spend more focused time on patient consultation, diagnostic assessment, and individualized treatment planning.

In traditional Chinese medicine, intention and presence matter. By strengthening our support structure, we protect that presence.

Reflections on 2026 Year of the Horse

Horse is the seventh sign of the Chinese zodiac. The Horse symbolizes movement, independence, vitality, and forward progress. It represents both freedom and disciplined momentum.

In clinic, we have already felt the energy of this year.

The Year of the Horse invites us to:

  • Take bold but grounded steps

  • Build stamina rather than rush

  • Strengthen foundations before accelerating

  • Move with purpose, not pressure

For us, this year is not about expansion for its own sake. It is about intentional growth. It is about building a team that reflects our values of collaboration, integrity, and excellence in patient care.

The Horse reminds us that movement without direction is chaos, but movement guided by vision becomes transformation.

What This Means for Our Community

With these additions, patients can expect:

  • Increased scheduling flexibility

  • Shorter wait times

  • More comprehensive integrative treatment plans

  • Enhanced support during visits

  • Continued commitment to individualized care

As our clinic grows, our philosophy remains unchanged. We practice medicine rooted in classical Chinese principles, informed by modern understanding, and centered on the person in front of us.

Looking Ahead

2026 is shaping up to be a year of momentum at Liu’s Oriental Medical Center. We are strengthening our team so that we can better serve families, individuals managing chronic conditions, those seeking preventative care, and everyone in between.

To our patients and community: thank you for trusting us. Growth is only meaningful when it serves something larger. In our case, that larger purpose is your health.

If you have questions about new services or scheduling availability, please contact our office. We look forward to moving forward together.
